Iftar in Jakarta & London for Palestine
This year, my birthday falls in Ramadan. Instead of a dinner, instead of gifts, instead of another candle quietly marking time, I am choosing something different. I am hosting a hybrid Iftar gathering in two cities, Jakarta and London, to raise funds for UK-based Palestinian charities.
Two restaurants. Two time zones. One shared table. And you are invited!
Ramadan is a month of restraint, reflection, and responsibility. It is also a month that sharpens awareness of hunger, of injustice, of the fragile dignity that so many people are forced to live without.
Birthdays often centre on the individual. Ramadan does not. So this year, the celebration moves outward. Instead of receiving, we give. Instead of gathering for ourselves, we gather with purpose.
This Iftar is open to Muslims and non-Muslims alike. You do not need to fast to attend. You only need to care.

How the Fundraising Works
There is no ticket fee. Entry is free upon proof of donation:
- £15 minimum in London
- IDR 100,000 minimum in Jakarta
Funds will go to a UK-registered Palestinian humanitarian charity. Donations from Jakarta will be pooled and transferred within 48 hours.
Who This Is For
This gathering is intentionally intimate. It is designed for: Founders, Startup C-level leaders, Investors, Builders, thoughtful professionals, and literally anyone who believes business and conscience should sit at the same table and who cares about Palestine.
It is a values-driven Iftar where conversation is meaningful, and giving is central. With 40 total guests across both cities, the minimum projected raise exceeds baseline targets, and more importantly, builds a small but deliberate circle of people willing to act. But the number is secondary. The memory is what will last.
